Bellingham startup launches travel website

Written by | The Bellingham Herald | July 22, 2011

Daymaven, a local Bellingham web startup supported by the BIG Idea Lab, has launched a travel website.

The website, daymaven.com, aims to improve and simplify travel explorations by sharing exceptional Pacific Northwest knowledge, according to a company press release. Locals can add variety to their daily routine and tourists can gain an inside scoop on the best local experiences throughout the Northwest.

Daymaven allows users to share and find great local experiences, favorite spots, and itineraries.  By harnessing the power of local “mavens,” visitors and locals alike are empowered to fully experience a location like never before.

“Given the right tool to share local knowledge, we could all genuinely enrich each other’s lives,” said founder Jacob Hartsoch in the press release.

Content is already being generated and includes daylong family adventures, hidden waterfalls and island getaways.
The BIG (Bellingham Innovation Group) Idea Lab is a collaborative group of Bellingham ventures working together to turn new ideas into successful businesses through lean, fast and profitable growth.

For more information, contact Hartsoch at 360-738-8928 or jake@daymaven.com.
