Go! Calendars, Games & Toys named its store in Bellingham as the Calendar Store of the Year.
James and Amanda Hagarty, operators of the store at Bellis Fair, received $2,500 for winning the award.
There are more than 860 Go! Calendars stores across the United States and most are open for just a few months around the holidays. Each store is run by an independent operator. The Store of the Year is based on performance in several different sales categories.
“James and Amanda did extremely well across all of our categories,” said Mike Hejny, executive vice president of merchandising and store operations for Go! Calendars, Games & Toys, in a news release. “Their kiosk outperformed some of our larger stores because they had some great folks working for them and were able to provide outstanding sales and service to their customers.”
This is the second year the Hagartys operated a Go! Calendars store in Bellingham. The store at Bellis Fair opened in September and will close by the end of the month. Beginning Friday, all calendars will be 75 percent off.
We were thrilled to get this unexpected recognition. We were just trying to operate the store to the best of our abilities. We could not have accomplished this without our crack team of sales ninja’s particularly Zack and Tyler, who not only did their jobs exceptionally well, but also stuck with us all the way through the season.
And of course none of this would be possible without our customers. We are lucky to have their loyalty and support and we appreciate every purchase.
For those customers who contributed to our donation stocking, I wanted to let you know we collected almost 200 teddy bears for Toys 4 Tots and gave several dozen of your unwanted free promotional calendars to the United Way.
