The Washington Employment Security Department sent out a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification for a company in Renton:
Company: Emerald Shared Services DBA K&L Distributors, Inc. (Renton) will lay off 215 employees,
effective January 20, 2012
Date of Notification: November 21, 2011
According to an article in The Seattle Times (link) the company was sold to King Beverage in Spokane, so this might be more of a technicality as the new business takes over, possibly rehiring many of the previous employees.
Curious to know if PeaceHealth has issued any WARN’s since they are laying off Support Staff?

I haven’t seen a notice from PeaceHealth yet… I’ll continue to check, but in case you’re interested here’s the link to the state website that lists those notices: http://www.esd.wa.gov/newsandinformation/warn/index.php
Rules vary on which companies/agencies need to notify the state, so I’m not sure if PeaceHealth plans to work with the state employment folks on this.
