Below is a press release from Travelex, which has opened a variety of offices in U.S. Bank branches on the West Coast, including in Bellingham. The Bellingham Travelex is in U.S. Bank’s downtown branch at 121 W. Holly St.:

Travelex, the world’s largest non-bank foreign currency provider, is expanding in the Western half of the United States with the recent opening of two stores in California, three in Washington and one in Utah.

The locations, all based in U.S. Bank branches, offer another convenient way to purchase and pick-up foreign currency prior to traveling abroad.  The stores will provide services such as foreign currency exchange, foreign currency drafts and wires as well as the popular MasterCard Cash Passpor, a prepaid chip and PIN-protected foreign currency card.

“These new stores are in response to a growing demand for the type of convenient currency solutions we provide,” said Jon Dario, President of Travelex Currency Services Inc.  “We are happy to have such a strong presence on the West Coast and plan to continue expanding in major cities throughout the U.S.”

Each new location offers Travelex’s in-store pick-up option for customers who choose to purchase currency online and pre-select a date for pick-up.  Online customers can alternatively choose the home delivery option when placing orders at www.us.travelex.com.  Travelex’s website allows travelers to access competitive online prices and the company’s Online Price Promise.  In accordance with terms and conditions, the Online Price Promise offers to match any lower price found on complete orders and also refund the difference between the price paid at Travelex and the price found on a different website the same day.

All based in U.S. Bank branches, the new Washington stores are located in Spokane, Lynwood and Bellingham.  The Spokane branch is at West 428 Riverside, and the Lynwood store can be found at 4411 196th SW.  The Bellingham store resides at 121 West Holly Street, adjacent to Cornwall Avenue.

Salt Lake City is the first city in Utah to open a Travelex store.  This establishment is based in a U.S. Bank branch on 170 S Main Street.

Finally, Travelex opened stores in both Santa Barbara and Woodland Hills.  Californians can now purchase currency at 6537 Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills, and residents of Santa Barbara can find their new neighborhood Travelex store at 936 State Street.
