Katie’s Cupcakes of Fairhaven to do battle on ‘Cupcake Wars’

Here’s a news release from Katie’s Cupcakes with the details:

Katie’s Cupcakes, a local bakery located in Fairhaven, was selected to compete in The Food Network’s hit TV show “Cupcake Wars.” Owner Katie Swanson and her baking assistant, Kelsey Schaeffer, will compete alongside three other bakeries from around the country for the premiere of the seventh season of the hit TV show scheduled to air at 8 p.m. PST on Sunday, Oct. 7 on The Food Network.

For those who want to taste the specialty cupcakes Katie’s Cupcakes made for the show, a private viewing party at the Mt. Baker Theater will be held on Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 pm. Guests at the all-ages event will get to taste all four original flavor creations along with the TV show’s judges while washing them down with Boundary Bay Beer, wine, and other refreshments.
