New tanning salon and spa opening in Fairhaven

Here’s a news release about a new business in Fairhaven:

Bella Body & Sol, a tanning salon & spa will be opening in Fairhaven’s Harris Square at 960 Harris Avenue Suite 104 B, at the end of January.

Owner Heather Gauf-Perrin brings years of management and salon experience to her new 1,100 square foot business, which will include advanced tanning equipment, organic air brushed contour tanning, massage, facials, permanent make-up, eyelash extensions and waxing services.  Natural, organic, locally made cosmetic and body products will be available at the salon.

The daughter of naturopathic physicians and physical therapists, Gauf-Perrin, decided to blend her appreciation for good health with the art of beauty by researching the newest technology of tanning equipment that minimize the risk of skin cancer while supplying vitamin D.  Her new salon will have two rooms with tanning beds utilizing UV rays and infrared light with an electric ballast rather than the traditional magnetic ballast, which contains potentially harmful EMF energy.

“This business is what comes naturally for me,” said Gauf-Perrin, who once aspired to be a helicopter pilot while accompanying her father on his flights. “I’m a big believer that a healthy body is a beautiful body.”

Licensed since 2003 as an intradermal cosmetic technician, she specifically chose Fairhaven for her spa “because of the history, the locally-owned businesses and the sense of community here”. The new business will house about a dozen employees and private contractors.

Gauf-Perrin will be juggling the spa business with family, as a wife and the mother to three children under 5.  She understands the needs women have for balance in their lives and taking the time for self.

“My Mission to create a sanctuary for clients and staff alike in a place that’s joyful and peaceful,” said Gauf-Perrin.  “I like to under promise and over deliver.  Our prices will be competitive, but the service with be superior.”
