Bellingham Whatcom Tourism has new marketing director

Here’s a press release about Bellingham Whatcom Tourism, which hired a local radio personality for its marketing:

 Bellingham Whatcom County Tourism (BWCT) has hired Jacqueline Cartier as its new Marketing Director.
Cartier comes to BWCT with 8 years of media and marketing experience and a strong eagerness to help draw visitors to the Whatcom County area.
President of BWCT, Loni Rahm, said she is thrilled to welcome Cartier to her staff.
 “Jacqueline has so many creative and rich ideas for our organization, as well as years of working with media professionals. I am really looking forward to all that we can accomplish together to help benefit our region’s economic vitality,” Rahm said.
Cartier will play a crucial role in the development of BWCT’s annual marketing strategies and implementation of its tourism marketing plan.  Her first day will be Monday, January 18th.
Cartier worked at KGMI radio since 2002, when she was hired as a news reporter. She has since worked as a morning news anchor and most recently, program director, promotions director and talk show host. Jacqueline has also freelanced for Comcast, The Ferndale Record-Journal and Hand Crank Films. She has done marketing, event-planning and public relations for several non-profits, including Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County.
