Bellingham’s Icing on the Cake opens store on Champion Street

Icing on the Cake has opened its retail store and will be having a special celebration on Saturday, June 5.

The store, which sells cupcakes, pies and cookies, is at 314 W. Champion St., near The Black Drop coffeehouse. During its Saturday celebration, which runs from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Icing on the Cake will be giving away prizes through drawings and hosting other events. Regular hours are Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday. It is closed on Mondays.

The business is owned by Liz Kovacs, who said they will continue to be a regular vendor at the Bellingham Farmers Market. She also sells cup-cakes to a variety of other local businesses, including Daisy Café, Java Town Espresso, The Woods Coffee and Supreme Bean Coffee Café.
