Here’s a press release from the owners of Chuckanut Brewery, just back from the North American Beer Awards:
Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen is happy to announce their winnings at the North American Beer Awards competition that took place over the weekend in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
The North American Beer Awards is a unique event sanctioned by the North American Brewers Association. This is the 15th year of the competition where the entered beers are judged by the traditional method of determining how closely the beer meets the style definition for the category in which it is entered. The event is judged by brewers, certified beer judges, and other qualified professionals and is conducted as a blind sampling followed by rank ordering of the entries within a category.
Chuckanut Brewery won Gold (first place) for its Kolsch German Ale and Gold for Dunkel Lager. Silver medals were given for both Chuckanut Light Ale and Munich Helles Lager. The Chuckanut Pilsner won a Bronze award. The brewery has won many awards in the past 2.5 years since opening but this is the first time it has won for its ales.
Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen, located at 601 West Holly St, Bellingham was awarded National Small Brewpub/Brewer of the Year 2009. Chuckanut Brewery makes European style award winning Lagers & Ales. Check out more about Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at this (link)
