According to The Lynden Tribune, Fairway Country Furnishings in Lynden began a going-out-of-business sale today. The two owners, Joe Branion and Ardelle Kooy, are retiring after operating the store for 20 years. Here is the (Link) to the Tribune story. The business is scheduled to close at the end of December.

From our view over at Dave’s Sports Shop down the sidewalk from them, it’s been a busy and productive sale so far. The line was winding well beyond the door a half hour after the sale started, just to get in! Congrats to Joe, Ardelle and all the crew for 20 successful years, and best wishes for life after the furnishings business!
