Lynden Sheet Metal recently ensured a seamless transition to its next generation of local ownership by announcing that Cory and Bobbi Kreider have become co-owners.
Bob and Rose Crabtree, co-owners since 1977 and sole owners since 2000, said in a press release their daughter and son-in-law have proven them-selves capable of continuing to emphasize Lynden Sheet Metal’s core values of service and value for customers. Cory Kreider is a metal fabrication shop foreman who has been with the company for 20 years. Bobbi Kreider started with Lynden Sheet Metal in 1996 and has been its general manager since 2005.
The Kreiders, both lifelong Whatcom County residents, also owned Clean Water Services in Lynden for 12 years before selling that business last year.
In a phone interview, Rose Crabtree said she and Bob plan to be fully involved in the business for the next 18 months before gradually taking more time off and moving toward retirement.
Founded in 1940, Lynden Sheet Metal sells and services heating, air-conditioning, plumbing and refrigeration systems for residential, commercial and institutional clients. The company also is a leading retailer of gas fireplaces. The company currently has 32 employees.
Lynden Sheet Metal is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays at 837 Evergreen in Lynden. For more information, call 354-3991 or click this link
