A motorcyclist collided with a truck on Slater Road near Interstate 5 Wednesday afternoon, July 11.

Initial reports suggested a man was thrown about 15 feet from his motorbike at 5:05 p.m. Sounded like he was conscious, but not moving because of back pain.

This comes on the same day police said motorcyclist Christopher Whitbeck had died. On Tuesday, Whitbeck hit a stopped Nissan Titan head-on in Bellingham. Police said he was thrown about 65 feet and died later at St. Joseph hospital.

A black SUV with a woman driving turned left into the path of the oncoming Honda Goldwing motorcycle.
I was right behind him and he was lucky to have been going slow enough to avoid a head-on collision.
