An equipment trailer with an excavator on it rolled over on the Interstate 5 southbound on-ramp at Sunset Drive on Wednesday morning, Nov. 7.
The trailer, hauled by a dump truck, tipped over about 9:35 p.m. a.m.
Nobody was hurt, but traffic moved slowly. The southbound on-ramp was still closed a half an hour later, at the time of this posting.
Update at 1:03 p.m. Department of Transportation crews cleared the scene two minutes ago.
This photo comes from Herald reader Carol Howard.
And for some perspective, here are a few traffic cam photos, courtesy of the state Department of Transportation.

We seem to have about 2 of those rollovers every year, in the exact same place. Maybe that curve needs to be banked like a NASCAR track???
Seems pretty bright out for 9:35 PM
Thanks. If only those keys weren’t right next to each other on the keyboard…
Didn’t they just fix that curve up to prevent this problem from reoccurring?
Physics wins again!
I see more and more of these construction drivers racing trying to beat cars. they cut off drivers and are bullies on the road. I wish the cops would crack down on these blue collar idiots.
