An hour of Monday morning scanner chatter

Via police scanner traffic:

9 a.m. A 10-year-old was hit in the head with a rock — don’t know how — and was losing “a serious amount of blood.” Radio traffic was muffled, but I believe it was on Mount Baker Highway south of Kendall.

9:20 a.m. An outside fire reported near the top of Sumas Mountain, by the radio tower.

9:30 a.m. A pair of construction workers were fighting near (what sounded like) the end of a driveway in (what sounded like) Bellingham. “There’s also ladders being thrown,” dispatchers said.

9:40 a.m. A bicyclist was struck by a beige Toyota Camry at the intersection of Cordata Parkway and West Kellogg Road. The cyclist was knocked down, but by the time an ambulance arrived he was conscious, oriented and sitting on the curb.

Edit: And here are a couple more.

11 a.m. Possible drug deal in front of a Catholic church on the Lummi Reservation. Witness saw an exchange, then both men walked to a grove of apple trees and crouched down.

11:50 a.m. Dispatchers figuring out how to deal with domestic dispute: ”Perhaps you can phone Tony and get to the bottom of these shenanigans.”
