This weekend just north of the Sumas border crossing, police made the biggest cocaine bust in Abbotsford history.

Officers came across a man with two padlocked duffel bags at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the 2000 block of Clearbrook Road, about 5 miles from Sumas. The 24-year-old man was “unable to provide many answers” about the bags, so he was searched, according to Abbotsford police.

This is what police claim they found:

That’s about 60 kilograms (132 pounds) in bricks of cocaine.

Canadian police arrested the suspect on suspicion of trafficking drugs. The case remains under investigation.
