Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard to perform at WWU

Written by | The Bellingham Herald | January 31, 2013

Bellingham’s claim to pop music fame — Death Cab for Cutie and the Postal Service frontman Ben Gibbard — is returning to his roots to perform an intimate show at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, at the Performing Arts Center Concert Hall at Western Washington University.

Tickets for the show are $24 for students, $30 for general admission. They go on sale THIS MONDAY at 11 a.m. at the PAC Box Office and are sure to sell out fast. Limited public tickets will be available online at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

If you’re not familiar with Gibbard’s solo act, here’s a recent performance from October 2012 on KEXP, the community public radio station in Seattle operated by the University of Washington.

This event is presented by ASProductions Pop Music. Details on the group can be found at their Facebook page: ASProductions Pop Music.
