Must-see food films

Brianne DiSylvester’s list of 17 recommended food documentaries, published at www.organicauthority.com (click here for the article), is a great jumping off point for anyone hoping to learn more about the food industry and how we, as consumers, can make healthy choices for ourselves and our families. I’ve seen some, but not all, of DiSylvester’s recommended films and will make a point of trying to get caught up on the rest in the coming months.

New food-related documentaries are coming out every year as the issue of how food choices affect our health and planet becomes better understood. This Saturday, Nov. 17, Hopewell Grange will host a free public premiere of Deborah Koons Garcia’s “Symphony of the Soil,” which relates not only to food and agriculture but also to every aspect of soil function. For more information on this event, visit this link. For more information on the film itself, visit www.lilyfilms.com.
