Guessing Games and Giggles

Nothing gets the attention of children quite like cute, furry animals.  Here are a couple of my favorite animal books for young children.

Who Has These Feet?Who Has These Feet? by Laura Hulbert (Preschool – 1st grade)  Lively illustrations and a guessing game format make this is a very fun book for reading aloud one-on-one or with a group.  And children will see feet in a whole new way as they learn why each animal’s feet are perfect for their individual habitats.  It’s really fun to hear the guesses kids come up with!

Life-Size ZooLife-Size Zoo by TeruYuki Komiya (Preschool – 2nd grade) Life-size photos of a number of zoo animals, from the very smallest rodent to the largest elephant.  Includes fold-out pages and lots of fun facts.  A particular favorite fold-out page (lots of giggles) is the one with the giraffe and his long tongue!

Have fun reading and giggling with your family as you explore animals from their heads to their toes.
