Mini-Adventures for Kids!

Written by | The Bellingham Herald | February 28, 2013

As I was browsing the Internet looking for new adventures to have with the cubs, I came across a great blog: MamaScout, “Your Fearless Guide Through the Wilderness of Creative Family Living,” a blog that “celebrates passionate, creative family living through posts showcasing open-ended play and projects, stellar resources, weird ideas, and gentle encouragements to slow down and embrace the ordinary.” Sounds intriguing! One post that caught my eye was “25 Mini-Adventures at the Library,” with fun, cheap, and quick things you can do with your kids in the library.  Thank you Amy Bowers for permission to re-post! Here are the first three adventures:

1. Look at microfilm from your birthday, or a hundred years ago, or when grandma was born.
2. Look for the biggest book in the library. Take your picture with it.
3. Browse the travel section, find a place you want to visit, make some plans.

See the rest at MamaScout’s original blog post!
