It’s been some years since Doug Martsch began channeling his penchant for sing-song melodies, quirky lyrics and guitar weirdness into a band called Built to Spill.

The Woods Coffee announces a stellar new concert at the Boulevard Park location on Thursday September 10th. They will be hosting the Jovon Miller Rhythmic Jazz Ensemble, featuring virtuoso tap dancing set to a spectacular neo-jazz fusion band. Audience members can expect to hear renditions of standard jazz, neo-jazz, R&B, and new original pieces. The event begins at 7:00 pm and is free to attend. All ages welcome. The Blessed Coast DJs brought the Wild Buffalo crowd up on stage where the entire crowd sang Bob Marley in unison.

The ninth annual Summer Meltdown features Northwest bands Flowmotion, The One, Pandacon, Vicci Martinez, the March Fourth Marching Band, Tony Furtado, Acorn Project, the Staxx Brothers, Bellingham’s Yogoman Burning Band and many others, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 14-16, at the Whitehorse Mountain Amphitheater in Darrington.
