Velveteen got his start when he took an empty seat at a house party’s five-disc changer, and they haven’t let him out of the booth since. His forays into electro, EBM, lounge, electro, pop, hip hop, and other genres have awakened a sleepy college town to the joys of seamlessly spliced beats, earning him a nomination for “Best Spinner” by Bellingham’s What’s Up! Magazine.
Velveteen currently makes appearances as resident DJ at The Betty Desire Show, as well as acting as the in-house DJ for the Bellingham Roller Betties; rocked dancefloor locations include Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, and Black Rock City. He has a known affinity for butt-moving breaks, buzzy synths, infectious riffs, and crunchy, glitchy beats.
