Make.Shift! Project Updates

THE VAN:

In our continuing quest to provide a biodiesel-powered touring van for struggling pacific northwestern musicians, Make.Shift is happy to announce that we recently bought a 1986 chevy cargo van! You can see a photo below. If it was good enough for the Bellingham SWAT team, it’s good enough for us.

Here’s where you come in: If 50 people donate $25 we’ll reach our goal of paying off the last $1,100 owed on the MAGIC VAN. To donate via PayPal, visit our website at www.makeshiftproject.com and click “donate,” or send cash or check to “Make.Shift” at P.O. Box 2245, Bellingham, WA, 98227. Make.Shift is a federal 501c3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

THE DUPLEXER:

We also recently acquired a massive black and white copier, which we’ll be fundraising for soon (repairs, maintenance, paper, etc.). One it’s up and running, the copier will be used to provide make.shift members with free and reduced-price copies of flyers and other promotional materials that promote independent music in the pacific northwest.

THE POWER-WHEEL:

Make.Shift recently powered our first live show using our POWER-WHEEL bicycle-powered generator. We powered two consecutive house show sets last month, meeting our goal of reducing musicians’ electrical footprint. We’re continuing to work on and perfect the generator, and we hope to be able to power up to two hours of live music soon. Band or venues interested in seeing the Power Wheel at their show should contact make.shift. For more information on our projects, check us out at www.makeshiftproject.com, email us at info@makeshiftproject.com, or call us at (510) 499-0535.

Make.shift is a support network for independent musicians who are too broke to accomplish their goals on their own. our services emphasize environmental responsibility and d.i.y. innovation. Thanks for your support!
