Rossi campaign: Democratic Party's lawsuit = desperate

Just received this statement from Dino Rossi’s campaign:

“This is the act of a desperate incumbent and lawyer seeking to win the election in court by invalidating votes cast for Dino Rossi,” said Jill Strait, Rossi spokesperson. “Ballots in Washington state have already been printed and military ballots are in process to soldiers and sailors overseas. If ‘GOP’ is ruled by the judge to be invalid, then the ballots from military personnel will be invalid. And given that it’s likely too late to reprint all of the rest of the ballots in our state, this would make any ballot cast for Dino Rossi invalid. It is very clever – but it’s very wrong.

[More:]

Christine Gregoire has had since June to raise this issue, but she chose to wait until now to spring her legal trick. This is one more desperate attempt by Governor Gregoire to distract voters from the real issues of this campaign – namely the $3.2 billion deficit she’s created and our rising unemployment.”

The political season, for the most part is very childish. Hard to tell one liar from another. When I heard about this new wrinkle, I actually had to laugh out loud. Holy moly. Admittedly, I'm tiring of the stupidity of the ads. Maybe they should video Gregoire and Rossi just pulling up their diapers and duking it out on a mud puddle. Of course, Chris may have a hard time seeing through the alligator tears.

I agree, this is both petty and insulting to me as a voter. Then again, no one ever accused the democrats of running a good campaign.

It sounds like the same kind of shenanigans the democrat party tried in the Gore debacle on the national stage (complete with the attempted negation of military ballots). I guess there weren't enough "hanging chads" for Gore to fool all the people all the time.

If my memory serves me correctly, last time around, Dino (not the dinosaur) won the election until some magical ballots turned up - during the second recount - in King County that no one had ever seen before. Perhaps they were hidden in a garage someplace behind the boxed-up Christmas lights. Hasn't that happened quite a few times in King County? Those guys really have a funny sense of humor when it comes to elections (like all the democrats in Chicago who literally "rose from the dead" to vote in 1960).

Praise the Lord (and pass the ballots)!

Want to see Presidential Candidate Ralph Nader in the debates? Here's what you can do about it:

Call the Barack Obama campaign at 866-675-2008

Hit "6" to speak with a campaign volunteer and insist that Ralph Nader and other ballot qualified third party candidates be included in the upcoming Presidential debates.

Then, e-mail the executive director of the Commission on Presidential Debates Janet Brown at jb@debates.org
Tell her to end the exclusionary restrictions and allow Ralph into the debates.

Obama won his first elected office by going to court and suing to have his opponents names removed from the ballot. He was successful.

Obama won by a landslide. He got 100% of the vote.

Whew, at least he put that Harvard Law degree to productive use.

What disappoints me is that he is not the least bid ashamed of this behavior.
