Last weekend, Western Washington University officials honored select graduates during the annual graduation ceremonies.
The following seven people were named Presidential Scholars, which are top students from each of the colleges.
- Daisy Phillips, Bellingham, graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
- Daryl Allen, Bothell, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and minors in Spanish and Business Administration.
- Adria LaMorticella, Elmire, Ore, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts.
- Chris DeSisto, Maple Valley, the 2007-2008 Environmental Studies Department Outstanding Graduate will graduatd with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography - Natural Resource Management.
- Stephen Goldrick, Silverdale, the 2007-2008 Physical Education, Health and Recreation Outstanding Graduate, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Physical Therapy.
- Kelsey “Alanna” Tritt, Seattle, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a Creative Writing emphasis.
- Laura Southern, Walla Walla, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English-Elementary Education.
The following students were named as Outstanding Graduates for the 2007-08 school year. The students were selected by their department for their grades, academic work and service to the campus and community.
