I have received this email from a couple of sources in Ferndale, both at the City of Ferndale and the Record-Journal…

Ferndale Levy Ballots Due Tuesday

February 9th!

Hello All,

There was an error on the front page of last week’s Record-Journal. That error was in the headline of a front page story about the school levy and incorrectly said ballots are due back Feb. 29.

The date throughout the story and in the photo caption is correct–Feb. 9. However, we realize some people scan the paper for headlines and skip certain stories. The problem is we will not be able to run a correction in the paper until the ballot deadline has expired. We are therefore asking for your help in spreading the word to your various friends and acquaintances: School levy ballots are due back Tuesday, Feb. 9.

I realize some of you may not support the levy. However, I hope you will pass this message on. Every voter deserves the chance to decide whether he or she supports the measure enough to vote for it. I hope you will help us minimize the affect our mistake has on privilege and right of the voters.

Please forward this message to anyone you think would be interested in seeing it or passing it on to others.
