fish management advisory groups
The application period for appointment to the department’s recently created Puget Sound Hatchery Action advisory group closes Friday, June 3.
The panel of 12 citizen volunteers will meet regularly through February 2012 to develop a set of recommendations that dovetail agency fish species and hatchery production policies and guidelines with the need to provide sustainable fishing opportunities in each of Puget Sound river basins.
Nominations must be submitted in writing and include, the nominee’s name, address, telephone number and email address. In addition, his or her relevant experience and reasons for wanting to serve as a member of the advisory group as well as examples of the candidate’s ability to communicate.
The name and contact information for individuals or organization submitting the nomination also must be included.
