BBJ posts candidate videos

October 2nd, 2009 9 AM PST by Sam Taylor - The Bellingham Herald

Good morning all. A quick post from Idaho, where I’m not technically working. But I meant to post this yesterday and was just swamped.

The Bellingham Business Journal has jumped into the same foray of video we tried out in 2007 for candidates. Yesterday, Editor Lance Henderson asked if I’d take a look and, if I decided they were interesting, to consider linking to them here.

Needless to say, I’ll link’em even if I DON’T find them interesting, because more info from candidates to voters the better. You can check out all the videos, right here. I’ll also add a link to the side bar so you can go back and reference them whenever need be.

Below are embeds of Bellingham City Council Ward 6 candidates Michael Lilliquist and Catherine Chambers. And a great job to the BBJ today, who are really doing a great job of taking advantage of various technologies and new media under Lance, a former Herald employee we unfortunately let get away!

Lilliquist:

Chambers:

Great warm and practical solutions from Catherine Chambers. Meet her in person, this Saturday at the Laurel Village development near the Farmer’s Market. There will be free Pizza, I promise.

    What about the beer?
    Gotta have beer with pizza.

Anyway, I’m still a little apprehensive about attending any of Catherine’s food related events. ;-)

Why is AFY a sheepdog? I’m must have completely missed something.

There is going to be no beer. Just some juice, free pizza and good company.

DG, back in time before AFY!!thesheepdog!!!, now to be known as BAFY, Madam E & I were having a discussion (a very hot one for that matter!), in it, it came up about someone once said there are three kinds of people, sheep, sheepdogs and wolf’s, however this was also touch on in Team America World Police, but their three kinds of people most likely would not be allowed in a civil disscusion as allowed by he who sees all and knows all!

Back to BAFY, in that historic discussion, it came to light that both Madam E & I, both believed that we would fight to the death!! to defend the right of others who disagreed with us & thusly their right to be disagreeable whereas thus was born from those ashes ( as we all know the sheep and the wolf would never be such a defender!):

    AFY!!thesheepdog!!!

Yes, Donde, there was a discussion between Elisabeth and AFY the other day where he explained they were both sheepdogs (I believe as opposed to other types of dogs, but I can’t recall what kind). In essence, I think a sheepdog is one that protects the flock through vigilance?

Indeed, AFY, I can’t tolerate a discussion of the three types of people in the world as so discussed in Team America, though I do find that movie quite hilarious.

I think ST is saying that he is anti-puppet. When will the bigotry ever end? Some of my best friends are puppets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XN-tmO_3xFE

However I believe it’s time for AFY!! to change his name to FAY!! It seems to be how the right feel about our country and our President right now.
