Sam, I’m excited for you as you walk down this path of fatherhood. Of all the things a person can do in their lives, raising a loving child is the most profoundly important single accomplishment a person can achieve IMO. The satisfaction of being trusted, admired and loved unconditionally will enrich your entire life and the love you give them will not only be returned to you, but more importantly to their children. You’re on your way to a lifetime membership in the big circle of life my man and I wish you all the best” Love is all there is….”

As an expecting parent, I’m sure you will quickly learn a new meaning to the idea of “minority rule”. Congrats. You know what is a great name? Riley.

It’s all kinds of these profound things crashing on you when your child arrives into the world. It’s like you’ve met your reason to live.

AFY, funny, this is what I read from your post:

“It’s like you’ve met your reason to live; Johnny Depp.”

Talk about selective editing on my part!

    May 3rd, 2010 at 3:35 PM

Shaun, that was eloquently and correctly stated.

    How is little Sammy doing?

  24. Sam Taylor Says:
    May 4th, 2010 at 10:59 AM

He’s doing great, Floyd. He’s about the size of a can of soda (and, incidentally, also weighs the same -12 ounces). He’s a mover and shaker, my wife is feeling lots of movement, though since he’s so tiny still I don’t get to feel it outside, which is too bad!
