What a great fighter! Standing up for the people of Washington!

McKenna will lose this at every step.

Riley, did you just replace a certain word with the Veep’s first name? I nearly spit water through my nose.

I think Riley already has tshirts up to that effect on cafe press. Catchy!

Are you a wanna be Governor or wish your were Attorney General?

It’s always confusing to democrats which office they sit in!

Christine Gregoire, the confused lawyer in the courtroom!

Chris Gregoire, a confused Governor in a Queen’s Castle!

Duties; I hope she does write, it’s be just like her Federal Trials, where she was to busy to show up, for a couple extra million in sanctions against the taxpayer, loosing those DSHS Classics!

    He didn’t consult me?

    Neither will those Federal Judges!

  6. Apexnerd Says:

Uh, I thought Dino Rossi is the wanna be Governor. (he lost.)

Christine Gregoire is the actual… elected… Governor. (she won.)

    Sore losers… blah blah… sour grapes… blah blah… move on… blah blah…

  8. Meneltarma Says:

She admits she doesn’t even have a grasp of the constitutional argument made by McKenna and Co., has to defer to her legal help, and then ignores the fact that the AG is independently elected, treating him instead as if he is an employee. Whether he wins in federal court or not with his suit, she certainly has no standing for denying him the right to sue from his position. She spends all her time yacking about “who this helps.” What does that have to do with the price of eggs in China?!

  9. Davesix Says:
    March 23rd, 2010 at 6:23 PM

    Aren’t the constitutional questions important?
Don’t they have enormous fiscal implications for the state?

If he didn’t participate in the suit, he’d be a candidate for impeachment.
I think that he sees his duty clearly, and that he is obeying that duty.

    Federal law trumps State law.
    Next…

It seems like some are forgetting she served as our Attorney General for TWELVE YEARS.
The legislature is working on denying access to state funds for this frivolous action by McKenna.

Well within their right to do so, and would thicken the plot tremendously.

Given that it is an almost criminal use of state funds, one would think that the Tea Party organizers would be working overtime putting together a public tantrum as quickly as possible. Those are our tax dollars being wasted after all. As I recall that’s kind of a big deal to them normally.

Mckenna had a promising future in state politics. Some say our potential next Governor.
He pretty much “impeached” any notion of that future in this blue state as of today.

  12. Roaring Lion Says:
    March 23rd, 2010 at 10:23 PM

McKenna is a hypocritical Tea Gagger. Spending the public’s money to file a useless challenge in furtherance of his own publically paid for feather nesting dream of a governor’s job!

  13. Liberty Bell Says:

They said, you were an attorney general named Christine Gregoire?

However the facts prove, that statement is very very questionable, along with the theory, of her Department of Socialistic Health Services.

Don’t you just love government ran health care, shown numerious times throughout the Courts of Washington.

“Representing the People” by failing to attend that United States District Courthouse, in Seattle in one small health care case, for 22 million, and a couple more in sanctions, for her ignorance and legal belief that she actually didn’t have to attend a real courthouse?

Of course you who truly love the Governor, need a mental evaluation about her so called health care system, always shown best by the new AG Rob McKenna, loosing cases from the governors classics in Health Care.

Take for instance, Shayne Abegg, a 6 year old who was a skeletal weight of 25 pounds when police rescued him in March 2007, will receive $6 million from the state of Washington and two other defendants an another classic case of Washington State Health Care.

The state’s portion, $5 million, is the largest payment to a child victim by the Department of Social and Health Services. How these people recieve a health care license is always been questionable, VOTE DEMOCRAT!

When rescued, the boy was covered in bruises and sores, his temperature had dropped to 87 degrees, and he was unable to sit or stand without assistance. A judge compared his condition to someone in a Nazi concentration camp.

The lawsuit alleged four State Licensed Health Care employees missed a pattern of abuse and neglect, including reports that the boy was malnourished and had hoarded food.
Starved by the state for 14 months while they received warning after warning that he was being starved and neglected, is Christine Gregouir Commander of you State Health Care System?

And you can’t figure out why Rob’s Ignoring, the most confused Attorney General and Governor in Washington State History!

  14. Riley Sweeney Says:
    March 24th, 2010 at 7:10 AM

I’m sorry but Liberty Bell, that’s a bit much, even for you. What does DSHS have to do with the Attorney General’s office?

As someone who has worked with DSHS, I know they work tirelessly to prevent child neglect and abuse, and there are thousands of cases every year where they prevent more tragedies. Sadly, these stories never make the paper. The one case that slips through their fingers does, and believe me, it haunts.

I think bringing up a case of Child Neglect as justification to be wary of a state health care program is rude, off-base and incredibly inappropriate.

To then pivot that to blame Gregoire for it is nauseating and requires a logical leap beyond your usual light-year distances. By that logic, every car crash that happens is Gregoire’s fault because she oversees the DOT. It makes no sense.

I would appeal to your sense of shame, but I feel that too is starving of neglect.

  15. Meneltarma Says:
    March 24th, 2010 at 8:49 AM

Maybe I’m lowering myself in saying it, but…
…I just love how her voice cracks… Like a senior-citizen parent with a rebellious teenage son saying “When I was your age (or in this case “in your job”) we didn’t talk back to our parents (or in this case “I did the governor’s bidding”).”

    On a more serious note:
This is one of the most interesting fights I’ve seen. It’s amazing how “top down” the liberals’ view of government has become. Legislatures can spend money on anything they want; governors dictate acceptable policy to other elected officials.

  16. Liberty Bell Says:
    March 25th, 2010 at 3:42 AM

Since it’s so confusing Riley, the DSHS Director is appointed by the Gov,

You are who you appoint, take Dennis Braddock for example a very fine example of a hamster, who should have never been let out of his cage, also shown best in every courthouse throught the state of confusion

Of course making it to the Federal District Court, always confused Christine AG, with Braddocks favorite imbeciles in charge, and Christine who couldent find the time to even get to the courthouse, for a couple extra million in sanctions?

Or was it the Insurance Company for the State that also confused Riley and Christine, who didn’t pay one cent, after begging Olympia to settle for 7 million, instead of the 20 million, the jury awarded?
But that’s ok, when your State ran health care system, is the biggest train wreck in the nation, and all it requires is another imbecile at the helm appointed by the Chief Executive Imbecile, and even the State Insurance Company, drops coverage for the most confused administration in State History!
Loosers, shown best in this case, uninsurable!

It’s always confusing Riley, Health Care from the State, also shown best with Christine Gregoire, in Whatcom County v. State, and Dave McEachrans Dunces in action with Health Care from Whatcom County; Monroe was released from the Whatcom County Jail despite the pending felony charge. Three days after his release, Monroe murdered Michelle Smith. The estate of Michelle Smith filed a wrongful death suit against Whatcom County and its deputy prosecutor Graham, alleging negligence as well as violation of Michelle Smith’s civil rights pursuant to 42 U.S.C. sec. 1983.

And no-one can figure out why AIG went belly up either?

  17. Riley Sweeney Says:
    March 25th, 2010 at 6:55 AM

Yes, but Child Neglect is so far removed in terms of policy from Health Insurance reform, I see little of what it has to do. Like I said in my comment, a few scattered incidents, while tragic, do not outway the thousands of cases that these people help every year.

I think it is strange and petty to bring it up.

  18. Devlin Sweeney Says:
    April 4th, 2010 at 3:22 PM

okay so following the logic of being responsible by appointment. lets try this. Ronald Reagan appointed Alan Greenspan who set the housing market up with adjustable rate morgages. which AIG took full advantage of and went belly up. Does this mean that Ronald Reagan is responsible for taking down AIG?

  19. Riley Sweeney Says:

Devlin, once again proving that he was the brother with brains.

  20. Liberty Bell Says:
    April 5th, 2010 at 6:07 AM

    the brother with brains???

    you mean the Popes Brother?

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/apr/04/pope-defiant-child-sex-abuse

I see things have yet to change, at Canterbury Cathedrial, 1215 or 2010!

“who will rid me of this priest”

Your favorite, Pope Innocent, making the announcement, after King John, figured out he truly didn’t like the law, just buy that Pope, selling religious services before, and after June 19, 1215

The Anti Christ himself, all dressed up in Rome, unchanged since the invention of Catholism
and the pope’s ignorance, discussing the Magna Charta, 9-11-1215
“…not only shameful and base but also illegal and unjust. We refuse to overlook such shameless presumption which dishonors the Apostolic See, injures the kings right, shames the English nation, and endangers the crusade. Since the whole crusade would be undermined if concessions of this sort were extorted from a great prince who had taken the cross, we, on behyalf of Almioghty God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, and by the authority of Saints Peter and Paul His apostles, uttwerly reject and conden this settlement. Under threat of excommunication we order that the king should not dare to observe and the barons and their associates should not insist on it being observed. The charter with all its undertakings and guarentees we declare to be null and void of all validity forever…”

Pope Innocent: 1215, The Devil Made Me Do IT!

Pope Bendict??? 2010, The Devil Made Me Do IT!

“…What would they say were the Pope to send annually to this country colonies of Jesuit priests with cargos of their Missal and translations of their Vulgate, to put gratis into the hands of everyone who would accept them?
Thomas Jefferson to John Adams, Popular Forest, 1816

  21. Riley Sweeney Says:

Naw, Devlin Sweeney is my brother. He’s coming up here for college. He’s the more conservative one, studying economics and accounting.

And believe me, I don’t have a favorite pope.
