I don’t hate you, really, I kinda like you, heck, some of my best friends have been people who were completely opposite of me, wouldn’t life be boring if we all felt and thought the same?

I reckon we all have our concepts of utopia, I reckon mine would forever have somebody holding up a sign in protest included, people not always agreeing, but it would be nice that everyone respects each other, even if they don’t agree. That might be a pipe dream, but I have found pipe dreams to be pleasant also.

Vile isn’t a noun so you can’t Have It.
You might say something to apparently degrade the subject with an adjective or two,
but that’s subjective as are all adjectives.
The comments about Kennedy are no worse than any that the Regressive Conservatives post about virtually any other subject,
contempt or no.
Being indelicate sometimes just boils down to the sensitivity one uses to read comments that one dislikes,
as does AFY!!!, the Queen of Intentional Reading Dysfunction.
So to say Malkin possesses some sweetness amid her rot,
is a true insult to those unfamiliar with the English language,
but is hardly an indictment of a proper reverential attitude.
An attitude that only surfaces After a person dies.

I do not believe at all in pretending people were saints just because they die. This is the price of being a pubic figure, and everyone who goes into politics knows it. If you really think about Ted Kennedy’s life, the good and the bad, it poses an interesting question about whether redemption is really possible. Of course, the right wing does not believe that he did anything worthy of redemption. But for those of us who admire much of what he accomplished in the years since 1969, it’s an interesting question.

I’ve been severely critical of Malkin many times. I’m pleasantly amazed at her comment on the death of Teddy. She showed real class, which I wish she would do more often.
