On Monday of last week, I posted an observation that ex-Gov. Chris Gregoire hadn’t been selected for two Obama administration posts she was rumored to be in line for. The comments seem to have been wiped out in this week’s blog blowup, but I remember Bob Burr (I think) and Riley Sweeney both agreeing that Gregoire wasn’t worthy of a high-level administration post anyhow.
Not as a rebuttal as much as a different way to look at it, I offer Peter Callaghan of TNT (already introduced by me as one of my favorite local politics bloggers), who says those Washingtonians who opposed Obama in 2008 are faring better than those, such as Gregoire, who went on a limb and supported the underdog early that year.
Apparently, Gregoire is still in the running for a federal post, but the biggest plums have already been handed out.

She was a B team governor during a time the opposition couldn’t mount a C Team.
