Starbucks, Google, Alcoa endorse gay-marriage legislation

Starbucks, Google and Alcoa are the latest large corporations to endorse legalizing gay marriage in Washington, according to the group Washington United for Marriage, which backs the legislation.

Microsoft, Nike and Group Health Plan have already endorsed the legislation, which picked up the 25th and final vote needed in the state Senate for pass the law.

Following are a list of the new businesses, large and small, that endorsed the legislation. It’s not clear exactly when they announced their support, whether it was before the 25th vote (Sen. Mary Margaret Haugen, D-Camano Island) was announced and passage of the bill was still unclear, or whether it was after she announced and it became clear the legislation would pass anyway.
