It’s about two hours until the polls close. Any of y’all want to put your reputations on the line with predictions on the two big showdowns? (Jack Louws vs Doug Ericksen for County Executive, and Dan Pike vs. Kelly Linville for Bellingham mayor.)
If you make a prediction, take a stab at the vote percentages too. Just for fun.
Mayor Pike wins with 54% of the vote and Mr. Louws also wins with 52%.
Tie breaker pick: Sam Crawford loses in an upset with his opponent garnering 60% of the vote!
Is Worst the only one out there with any guts? Or is he just the only one out there at this hour?
Pike – 51%
Louws – 53%
Tie breaker, Kremen 53%

Louws 57%
And as tie breaker, Kremen 64%
I think that he’s the only one with any guts. I am predicting an Ericsen win because the Bellingham voters didn’t have any good options and a lot of them might not bother to vote.
I hope that the rest of you are right.

I’m probably overshooting on Louws – every election I expect people to finally see Erickson for what he really is, and every election he wins handilyt. Here’s hoping tonight’s the night that changes.
