10/20/2011- Agents apprehended a Canadian citizen who illegally entered into the United States through the Peace Arch Park in Blaine, WA. The subject was processed for removal.
10/21/2011- Agents encountered a subject who was wearing a backpack and walking along Boundary Road north of Lynden, WA. Subject admitted to being a Canadian citizen illegally present in the United States. Subject also claimed to be an associate of a white supremacist group. The subject was placed under arrest and processed for removal.
10/21/2011- Agents responded to a request from the Ferndale Police Department for assistance with an individual they encountered. The subject had admitted to the police officer that he had entered into the United States through the woods earlier in the evening. Subject admitted to the responding Border Patrol agent that he was a Canadian citizen illegally present in the United States. Subject was placed under arrest and processed for reinstatement of a prior removal.
7:36 a.m.: There’s a partially blocking two-car crash on Alabama at Erie Terrace.
7:32 a.m.: One person has been detained from that car stop.
7:25 a.m.: It sounds like there may have been a car chase in the Ellis area, with a car finally stopped with guns drawn at Iron and Potter.
1:30 p.m.: North Lake Samish is closed from the I-5 onramp and south to the lake as crews continue to work on the crash.
12:46 p.m.: There is also a brush fire near the crash site, and it sounds like the occupants are still in the car, possibly in a creek. Crews are responding.
12:30 p.m.: A car has crashed into a ditch on the side of North Lake Samish Road near I-5.
3:22 p.m.: Reports of a two-car crash in the 1700 block of Mount Baker Highway. The crash in partially blocking a lane.
3:11 p.m.: A car has crashed into a pole at Telegraph and Deemer roads and traffic may be blocked as power lines are down in the road.
2:55 p.m.: The yellow is out on the light at Lakeway and Puget.
11:34 a.m.: It sounds like officers are looking for the arm in the woods near the clinic.
11:21 a.m.: A man has walked into Cascade Urology on Birchwood Avenue with an amputated arm. Unsure how this has happened.
10:28 a.m.: Reports of a rollover single-car crash on the Guide south of Beard Road, on the east side of the road.
9:10 a.m.: Reports of a cougar seen in the 3400 block of Slater Road.
8:07 a.m.: There are reports that the traffic lights are flashing at Deemer and Bakerview. Not sure yet what’s going on.
3:04 p.m.: Highway 9 has been reduced to one lane near Lindsay Road.
12:05 p.m.: Reports of an electrical fire with lines on fire and power out at Northwest and Smith roads. A truck may have hit the pole.
11:13 a.m.: Reports of a possible burglary at Haxton and Smokehouse roads.
11:05 a.m.: The southbound lane of Meridian at Kellogg is blocked by a two-car crash.
10:13 a.m.: It sounds like traffic may be down to one lane in the area of that crash in Irongate.
9:46 a.m.: There’s been a car crash with injuries reported at E. Bakerview and Irongate.

10/11/2011 6:15 p.m. 8th, Theft 3rd Degree/All Other
Press Remarks: A family called police for assistance when they discovered that about $160 had been stolen from their young daughter’s daypack. The money had been collected for a fund raiser, and young lady had left her bag unattended for a short period while participating in after school activities off the campus. Two kids have been identified as possible suspects in the theft, and are being interviewed.
10/13/2011 11:01 a.m. Peace Arch POE 781, PCS-Opium / Drugs-Opium-or-Deriv-Possess
Press Remarks: Police were dispatched to the Peace Arch Port of Entry about 11am when Customs officers encountered a person who appeared to be driving while impaired. Following an investigation the 51 year old Surrey resident was arrrested and booked into jail. He was also found to be in possession of what appeared to be poppy pods. That product has been sent to a lab for testing, and additional charges of Possession of Controlled Substance may ensue.
10/14/2011 11:10 a.m. H St., Informational Report
Press Remarks: A person ordered a high quality expensive watch through Ebay. The victim reported that when the package arrived at a mail drop facility in Blaine, they opened the box to find a brick inside rather than a fancy time piece. The person’s shipping insurance may cover the loss. Under investigation.
10/14/2011 6:20 p.m. E St., Theft 3rd Degree / Theft from a yard
Press Remarks: A man reported the theft of a friend’s hope chest from its storage place beneath a tarp in his backyard. There are no suspects or witnesses in the taking, and all hope is lost at this point. Case closed pending further information.
10/14/2011 11:08 a.m. Semiahmoo, Stolen Vehicle Recovered Locally
Press Remarks: Officers patrolling the Semiahmoo district contacted an occupied vehicle they found stopped in a closed park on Semiahmoo Parkway late at night. The man and woman inside the car were found to be in possesion of a personal use amount of marijuana and had been drinking. The vehicle whey were in had been stolen from a rental company in Michigan two weeks earlier, after the couple had rented it for a two day trip. The pair was arrested and booked into jail. The car was impounded for return to its owner.
10/15/2011 2:40 p.m. Peace Portal, DV Malicious Mischief3/ Damage Prop-Private
Press Remarks: Officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a Blaine residence. Officers arrived and found that a man had kicked in the back door to the residence, causing minor damage. The 45 year old Blaine resident was arrested and booked into jail for Domestic Violence Malicious Mischief 3rd.
10/17/2011 1:01 p.m. Blue Grouse, Forgery / Forgery Of Checks
Press Remarks: A resident called police when he discovered that someone had committed forgery on his checking account. The victim explained that he had written a delivery person a check for $7 form his personal account, and upon reconciling his bank statement he discovered that the check had been altered to show an amount of $37. An Officer was able to identify the suspect and tracked him down. The 19 year old Blaine resident admitted to the crime, and was arrested and booked into jail.
10/17/2011 3:57 p.m. A St., Firearms/Illegal Possession
Press Remarks: Dispatch reported that a man was possibly carrying a handgun in Peace Arch State Park. US Border Patrol agents and Blaine officers searched the area, and agents advised officers when they found the man at a service station on D Street. The 6′4″ 340 pound pedestrian was divested of the pistol he was packing in his underwear and squeezed into the back seat of a patrol car. He turned out to be a US citizen with an extensive criminal history, who was ineligible to possess firearms for a variety of reasons. The Tennessee resident was booked into jail.

10/07/2011- Agents arrested a citizen of India after he attempted to make an illegal entry into Canada. Subject admitted that he had illegally entered the United States near Laredo, Texas. Subject was processed for removal.
10/07/2011- Agents observed a suspicious person walking away from the international boundary near Double Ditch Road north of Lynden, Washington. Subject stated he was a citizen of Pakistan and admitted to illegally entering the United States. Subject was processed for removal.
10/08/2011- Agents responded to a request for assistance from the Ferndale Police Department after one of their officers stopped a vehicle on northbound Interstate 5. The driver was intoxicated and all four subjects in the vehicle were citizens of Mexico that admitted to being illegally present in the United States. All subjects were processed for removal.
5 p.m.: Reports of a large brush fire near Whatcom Street.
8:10 a.m.: Theft of copper wire and pipes reported from a construction site on Sunset Drive.
5:37 p.m.: Officer are responding to reports of a burglary on Erie St.
5:18 p.m.: Reports of a crash on southbound I-5 south of Sunset.
2:47 p.m.: The person has gotten out of the upside down car and doesn’t appear to have major injuries.
2:45 p.m.: The northbound lane of Blaine Road is being blocked while officers investigate the crash.
2:39 p.m.: Reports of a rollover crash at Blaine Road and Loomis Trail.
