The Ferndale School District has posted two boundary maps in consideration for the district’s elementary schools next year.
See the maps here.
They were presented at a meeting Monday night at Vista Middle School, where more than 50 members of the public showed up to see the two options and voice their opinions.
There will be another meeting from 7-9 p.m. at Cascadia Elementary School.
Anyone who went to Monday’s forum have any thoughts about the two maps? Is there one you prefer, or any issues you think need to be addressed?
Ferndale is hosting its first public forum to show off two options for elementary school boundary changes being considered by the school district once Mountain View Elementary closes.
Tonight’s meeting will run from 7-9 p.m. at Vista Middle School. Another meeting will take place from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Cascadia Elementary.
For more information, read my article about the meetings.
I’ll be covering Monday’s meeting to see the new maps and get an idea of how families are responding.
Any Ferndale families out there concerned about boundary changes?
