Ferndale and Lummi schools delayed Tuesday

Written by | The Bellingham Herald | November 23, 2010

Ferndale schools are operating 1 hour late Tuesday, Nov. 23.

Lummi Nation Schools are operating two hours late, with all buses on snow routes.

Bellingham School District has all buses on snow routes.

Western Washington University is open, but the following message is on the school’s website:

Today is Tuesday, Nov. 23.  The university remains open.  Students, faculty and staff who are unable to get to Western because of dangerous conditions may decide to remain home.  Each decision is a personal one and should be made according to individual judgment.  Staff should contact their supervisors if they will be unable to get to work on time because of the weather conditions and should consult the inclement weather policy or a collective bargaining agreement when reporting lost time.

Facilities Management continues to monitor and address slippery spots in parking lots and sidewalks across campus.   You can also report slippery spots to the WWU Facilities Management Work Control Center during the day at x3420. While the region’s high winds will begin to subside this morning, all students, faculty and staff should prepare for extremely low temperatures.
