Wheels of Life School, a small independent school in Bellingham, is offering a new program for Bellingham elementary families looking for something for their kids to do on the weekly early release Wednesdays.

The school is starting a Bellingham Youth Ambassadors program, in which students will discuss, design and implement service-learning and research projects. The program will be similar to Jane Goodall’s Roots & Shoots Club.

The program will meet weekly on Wednesdays, from 1:15 to 5:30 p.m., starting Sept. 21. Tuition is $1,000 for the entire school year. Schools with four or more students registered will qualify for transportation provided by Wheels of Life School. All other students will need to find their own transportation.

Students in Bellingham Youth Ambassadors program are also welcome to attend Wheels of Life during spring break.

The program is designed to accomodate elementary-aged students, however middle and high school teens are also welcome.

For more information, contact the school at 360-393-1652.
