People who’d like to raise a glass to local students going off to college will have a chance at a fundraiser for Bellingham Dollars for Scholars Saturday, Oct. 6.
Dollars for Scholars is a program of the Whatcom Community Foundation that awards scholarships to Bellingham School District students to help pay for college.
The event takes place from 6-10 p.m. Saturday at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club, 3726 Meridian St. It will include wine tasting, heavy appetizers and classical guitar.
Tickets are $75. A $10 raffle ticket could win attendees prizes such as certificates for wine, golf, spas and more.
