Here’s a link to an audio interview with Montesano football coach Terry Jensen at CoachesAid.com. It’s about six minutes long and has some good stuff about a Bulldogs team that’s undefeated and allowed just one touchdown this season.
Montesano meets Meridian on Saturday, Nov. 14 in the opening round of the state playoffs. Jensen talks about the Trojans about halfway through the interview. No bulletin board material here, but it’s clear the Bulldogs have been doing some early scouting of the Trojans.
There have been some good battles between these two programs over the years.

As far as websites for high school sports teams go the Meridian football team has to have one of the best around and likely in the state.
According to the site there are plans to provide live scoring updates, photos and video from tonight’s game against Port Townsend. It’s the first time all three of these things are being attempted by those involved with the site, but if it works out it should be a pretty cool deal.

I came across this story on CNN and thought some of you readers might find it interesting. It’s about some former high school players from two rival high schools in Pennsylvania and New Jersey getting together to replay a game from 1993 that ended in a 7-7 tie.
The game is going to be played on Sunday, April 26 and there is a link within the story to watch the game. By the way if you’re wondering if anybody from that area has any interest in seeing this game be re-played more than a decade after the fact, you might be surprised to learn that more than 10,000 people have purchased tickets for the contest.
And if it sounds like a movie script or something straight out of Hollywood, that’s because it is. There is a fun football movie from the 1980s staring Robin Williams and Kurt Russell called “The Best of Times” that follows a similar plot.

It looks like Shane Simmons’ NFL dream still has some life left to it.
The Seattle P.I. has a story online in the Thursday, April 9 edition about the former Western Washington University linebacker taking part in the Seattle Seahawks’ minicamp this week. The Seahawks gave Simmons a call at his home in Kent after it looked like they were going to be short at the linebacker position at the camp.
Simmons spent a few weeks with the Oakland Raiders last preseason, but didn’t make the team. According to the story by Greg Johns if he makes a good impression on the Seahawks this week there is a chance he could be invited back but as of now he hasn’t signed a contract.
