The second AP prep football poll of the season has been released

Here’s the The Associated Press Washingtonprep football poll as we head into Week 4. There were a few changes at the top with Ellensburg moving into first in Class 2A and Lakes in Class 3A. Meridian makes it’s first appearance of the season in the Class 1A poll and Ferndale falls out of the Class 3A poll as does Burlington-Edison in Class 2A.. Lummi also comes in at No. 5 in Class 1B.

    I agree with drake22. I was worried as a fan heading into the Squalicum game and impressed coming out. They are big, athletic and hungry.

    Your an idiot… This AP poll is the BEST teams in WA…. Why do you think Squalicum deserves to be in the top 20… Just cause they scored 50 points over the worst team in 2A…. Come on..

    Surfdaddy..you sir are the idiot, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Do you know anything about high school football? These polls are the top teams in each classification not just the top 20 teams. Are you aware that the NWC is 2nd to none when it comes to quality of teams at the 2A level. This is shown each and every year come playoff time. No, we don’t always take state but we usually have two teams in the semi finals and more in the quarter finals. Yes, Squalicum does belong in the top 10 of 2A teams. (Yes, news flash they are 2A) But, this is not college football and respect means zip. They will get to prove theirselves on the field come playoff time. I’m not even a Squalicum fan, but know a quality high school team when I see one.
